Coover, Paul is the creator of the multiple Eisner-Award-winning Bandette comics featuring the antics of the world’s best—and most charming—thief. Paul and Colleen also teamed up on their Banana Sunday graphic novel, and now as the writing team on Wrassle Castle. Paul lives in Portland, Oregon, where he feels that it rains frequently enough, but not hard enough.
Colleen Coover is a comic book storyteller and illustrator living in Portland, Oregon. With writer Paul Tobin, she is the co-creator of the comics Banana Sunday and Bandette. Colleen and Paul are the co-writers of Wonderbound’s new series Wrassle Castle, drawn by the artist Galaad.
When she is not making comics or creating illustrations for a variety of clients, Colleen spends her time spinning yarn, knitting sweaters, and eating ice cream. She is a member of Helioscope, a collective of Portland-based creators. colleencoover.net

If you haven't read the first two books, STOP NOW. There will be spoilers!
In the first two books, Lydia finds herself battling in the wrassling tournament to free her brother from prison. She even finds time to rescue her friend, Chelsea from kidnappers. Someone is trying to get Lydia out of the way, but she's too busy fighting to delve deeper into it. Her friends do it for her and this is what I absolutely love about these books: the friendships. Each of the four is vastly different, but they are brave and loyal.
Lydia has always trained on her own, but her way of wrassling quickly becomes famous and more and more wrasslers begin breaking free of the molds they trained for in the academy.
When tragedy happens, Lydia's focus begins to wane as the finals approach. Can she win the tournament and free her brother?
I love the humor in these comics, as well as the illustrations; they make me happy just by looking at the covers! The idea is unique and I can definitely see this as an animated tv show! I enjoyed these immensely and although the ending is self-contained, there is potential for continuation.
