My name is Grace, not Kyle's little sister!

Having a good-looking, friendly, outgoing older brother sucks—especially when you're the total

opposite, someone who likes staying home and playing video games. Your parents like him

better (even if they deny it!), and everyone calls you Kyle's little sister while looking

disappointed that you're not more like him. I was really hoping I'd get to go to a different

middle school, but no such luck. At least I have my friends...until he finds a way to ruin that,

too...! Argh! What do I have to do to get out of his shadow?!

I absolutely loved this book! I read it in less than an hour; I couldn't stop. I adored the realistic drama of middle-school life, and also the jealousy of having a popular older brother. The themes of being overlooked and feeling invisible are also very important because I feel like a lot of young kids go through this at some point in their lives.

Although Kyle gets all the attention, he's actually not a bad older brother. He's just a little clueless like all teens are. He recognizes when something is wrong with his sister, and also the importance of talking to and accepting her friends.

I would have liked a little more attention paid to the parents who unconsciously make Grace feel left out. I think it's important to note that a lot of feelings we have as youth come from what's going on at home, and I feel like parental support is the solid foundation we all need to stand on. There wasn't much closure in that department.

Overall, I loved the storyline. It felt wholly realistic and teaches us, even as adults, that communication is very important in relationships of every kind. I loved the art style and the way Bonhyung portrays middle-school life. Diverse, heartwarming, and addictive, this graphic novel will appeal to young readers of every kind.
